Atlas projects

An Atlas project is the editable source for one map. It contains the node graph, map bounds, seed, preview resolution, paint masks, environment settings, dirty state, and last-build time. Projects are stored inside the current place rather than in a cloud account.

Open File to use the Map Explorer:

  • Select a map in the left column to activate it.
  • Edit Map name, then choose Save Name to rename it.
  • Duplicate Map creates an independent graph and independent copies of every paint mask.
  • Enter a new name and choose Create Map for a fresh project.
  • Delete Map requires a second confirmation and is unavailable when only one map remains.

Names are unique without regard to capitalization. Creating or duplicating a project automatically chooses a free name when necessary.

Switching projects replaces the graph and preview with the selected project's state. Capture any screenshots you need before switching, but ordinary edits are automatically persisted. To move projects to another place, follow Transfer maps.
