Map settings
The Build tab controls the active project's physical region and shared generation values.
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Center X / Center Z | Horizontal center of the generated terrain region |
| Base Y | World height represented by normalized height 0 |
| Width / Depth | Horizontal size in studs; each is clamped to at least 64 |
| Maximum height | Vertical span in studs; clamped to at least 16 |
| Seed | Shared integer copied into nodes that expose a Seed parameter |
| Sea level | Project fallback water level from 0 to 1 |
Changing Width, Depth, or Maximum height can change degree-based slope results because it changes the terrain's real-world proportions.
Recipes
Terrain recipes replace the active graph with a prepared setup. Atlas includes Temperate Forest, Rolling Grassland, Rocky Highlands, and Island / Coast recipes. Applying a recipe is destructive to the current graph, so duplicate a map first when you want to preserve it.
Environment
Apply Environment applies the recipe's optional Lighting settings separately. Building terrain does not silently replace Lighting.
