Texturize

MaterialsPalette nodeTexturize

Builds a complete material map from terrain shape alone — elevation, slope angle, curvature, drainage and deposition — with noise-broken boundaries, cliff strata and dithered transitions. Pick a profile, then tune.

When to use

Connect its Material output to Build Map directly or combine it with other material fields through Blend or Material Mixer.

Example connection:

Texturize · Out → Build Map · Material

Notes

Heightfield outputs are sampled at the active preview resolution and at terrain-voxel density during a build.

This node performs neighborhood analysis or repeated simulation work. Tune it at a lower preview resolution when interactive updates become slow.
